Content marketing

Content marketing is a fancy way of saying all the stuff you create and share to promote your business.

Got a website? Great. Now you need engaging content to keep existing customers happy and get new customers.

There’s all sorts of content you can use to help market your business. You ultimately want your content to drive profitable customer action.

For small and medium sized businesses, starting with a brilliantly written website is a must. You need an experienced copywriter (like me) to do that for you.

You should also have a blog where you can post news. The key to a great blog is writing unique content on a regular basis. It should be interesting, shareable and serve a purpose.

If your blog is always pushing product, people will switch off. You need to strike the right balance.

Using content marketing on social media

If you want to do social media marketing right, you need fresh content to constantly push out.

Along with compelling copy, great photos are an absolute must for social media.

I can use your photos, stock photos, or a combination of both. I can even arrange a professional photo shoot of your staff, your premises, and your products and services.

Getting results with video

With growing time constraints, many people prefer watching something rather than reading about it. That’s why video is a booming area of content marketing.

Investing in some great videos is really worthwhile. They can be housed on your website and YouTube, and shared on social media and in your customer e-newsletters.

Videos are great for SEO as Google recognises that they enhance the user experience of your website.

Questions you might have about content marketing
How do I know what kind of content I should produce?

Things like the kind of business you run and the types of customers you have will dictate what sort of content you should be producing.

But it’s always worth testing your market. You may be surprised!

How will you know what kind of blog articles to write?

I’ll get to know your business, your communication style and the messages you want to put out.

At the start, you’ll check what I’ve written and give feedback. But over time you’ll learn to trust me and may not have much involvement bar approving the topics I write about.

Of course, every organisation is different and you can have as much involvement or as little as you want.

I’ve previously worked in corporate organisations (where compliance was very strict) so I know what I can and can’t say.

How much does it cost?

It depends on what you’re after, and if it’s one-off work or an ongoing relationship. Video is usually charged per project. Please contact me for more info.
